Talk:Karu Island
From Karu Island
Update.
Inspired by the recent announcement of 4th Edition DnD I'm picking up the Karu Island project.
Copied and pasted a large chunk of text from the "Article" tab to this discussion. It's at the very bottom and is a neat summary.

Sorry things have been slow, Neil; classes are taking up more time than I thought. I'll definitely be contributing after my finals!

Well, apparently I'm on my own with this project.
To break this roadblock I'm going to leave History for now and move on to something else. Perhaps the political scene. Hmmm.

I'm having problems with the city history. First of all, if the Draconians have so much arcane knowledge why wouldn’t they know about the races on the mainland? Are they just very seclusionist? So vain that they really had no interest in other races until the orcs arrived on their shores?
Secondly, when should the slaves overthrow the Draconians? Or do they just go free by default when the Draconians disappear at the onset of the curse?
Third, does it make sense that the Draconians give their slaves enough of a free rein to develop their city? I don't think so but I want power struggles and factions prior to the start of the curse.
Maybe the city history can be put on hold for now. Later details of the curse might even shed light on some history ideas.

Feel free to update the page with the "purpose" of the idea, or discuss here what you think the purpose should be...
~~~~at the bottom - it'll automatically fill in your name and the time of the post (like below). If you update here, (or in any Talk page), do it at the top, to keep a reverse-chronological order to everything).
I've moved the whole text of the original blog to old:original blog, so this discussion page doesn't keep getting a size warning.
